Read the prices as they are sold, though: the coach fare is per person while the taxi figure is for the whole vehicle. Four people pay 28 EUR on the coach against a taxi floor of 64, so the coach still wins for a group, but the gap narrows as the party grows. Two things push you to the taxi. The first is where the coach ends: Torrevieja bus station on Calle del Mar, which is not your accommodation, and the town runs a long way along the coast, so with heavy cases or small children you will be paying for another leg anyway. The second is the clock. The last coach leaves at 21:30 on a weekday and 21:00 at the weekend, and the higher night and Sunday taxi tariff begins at 21:00, so a late arrival both misses the cheap option and pays the top of the expensive one.
