Across the island, not around it

The instinct on an island is to assume the road hugs the coast. To Sidari it does not: the route climbs inland and comes down on the other side, which is why thirty-eight kilometres takes close to an hour. It is a shorter drive than Kavos in the south by eight kilometres and takes about the same time.

The soft cliffs the place is known for

Sidari's coast is sandstone rather than limestone, cut into channels and stacks by the sea, and the Canal d'Amour is the best known of them. That soft rock is also why the shoreline here changes shape over decades in a way the rest of the island's does not.

Eleven reviews, and what that is worth

The Sidari product carries eleven reviews, the most of any Corfu transfer this site uses, and it is 89 euros for a vehicle carrying up to eight. It is also the cheapest of the three northern resorts at the longest of the three distances, which is the one place where this operator's price list does not simply track the kilometres. Nothing here is corroborated by a second supplier, because on Corfu there is not one.
