A village with no centre
Acharavi is a ribbon: one long straight road with the beach on one side and two kilometres of shops, tavernas and accommodation strung along it. There is no square to be dropped at. That makes the address the thing that matters when you book a transfer here, more than it does at a resort built round a harbour, and it is worth having it written down rather than remembered.
The coastal end of the mountain
Mount Pantokrator rises directly behind the village, and the roads up to the old settlements on it start here. None of them is a drive to improvise after a late flight: they are narrow, they switch back repeatedly, and the last few kilometres to the summit are single track.
The narrowest measurement on the island
Our two routing engines returned 37.09 and 36.18 kilometres and driving times of 47.4 and 56.5 minutes, which is the closest agreement of the four Corfu routes measured. It is also the lowest-demand route in the cluster, built because the product names the village and the measurement holds rather than because the search figures argued for it.
