Cala d'Or is 59 km south-east of Palma airport, across the Migjorn rather than along a coast. It is also the strangest measurement on this site: the two routing engines we use agree on the distance to within ten metres and disagree about the journey time by seventeen minutes, which is a difference of opinion about country roads rather than about the route. The regulated taxi comes to 78 to 88 EUR for the vehicle.

Which transfer should you choose?

Because the two engines agree on the distance so exactly, the whole width of the fare range here is the tariff band rather than the road, which is unusual: on most routes the range mixes the two. That makes the landing time the only thing that moves the price. Between the weekday band and the weekend and night band there is about ten euros, and Palma's second band covers all day Saturday and Sunday rather than nights alone.

There are four or more of you

Taxi

The fare is for the vehicle, so 78 EUR split four ways is under twenty each for a fifty-nine kilometre door-to-door journey. A fifth or sixth passenger adds three euros rather than another fare.

Taxi

On this route the fare band is the only thing that changes the price, because the two engines agree on the distance to ten metres. Weekend and night is about ten euros more, and Palma's second band covers the whole of Saturday and Sunday rather than nights alone.

Taxi

Fifty-nine kilometres here is not fifty-nine kilometres of motorway. Our two engines put the same drive at 55 and 72 minutes, a seventeen-minute spread with no distance to explain it, which is a disagreement about speeds on the minor roads. Allow the longer figure.

A private transfer is arranged in advance and the driver meets you in arrivals. On an hour of minor road to a resort with no verified coach, that is the strongest case in this cluster. We do not show a bookable transfer for this route. Every product the search returned was rejected, and the reason is the same across Mallorca: the suppliers here meet travellers at a start point rather than carrying a pickup location the provider itself marks as an airport, and that start point is an opaque reference we cannot resolve to a place with the access we have. This is not a route without transfers; it is a route where we cannot yet show that a transfer starts where it says it does.

The rank is at Terminal floor 0, arrivals. The Ajuntament de Palma sets two bands: 2.50 EUR plus 1.20 a kilometre on weekdays from 07:00 to 21:00, and 2.85 plus 1.35 on weekday nights and all day at weekends and on official holidays. The 4.65 EUR airport supplement is added either way; the 16.95 EUR airport minimum is far below the fare at this distance. Parties of five or six pay 3.00 EUR more and of seven or eight 6.00. Allow for the time rather than the distance: our two engines put the drive at 55 and 72 minutes over the same fifty-nine kilometres, and the roads across the Migjorn are minor ones.

How the fare is set
Regulated fares set by the Ajuntament de Palma. Two bands: laborable, Monday to Friday 07:00 to 21:00, at 2.50 EUR flag drop plus 1.20 EUR per kilometre; and festivo or nocturno, covering weekday nights from 21:00 to 07:00 and the whole of Saturdays, Sundays and official holidays, at 2.85 EUR plus 1.35 EUR. A 4.65 EUR airport and port supplement is charged, and a minimum fare of 16.95 EUR applies to journeys from the airport. Parties of five or six pay a further 3.00 EUR and parties of seven or eight 6.00 EUR, neither of which is included below. A 4.75 EUR supplement applies over Christmas and New Year.

This is a negative finding taken from the operator's own complete list, not a gap in our research. Seven Aerotib lines call at this airport: A11 to the Calvia coast, A32 and A33 to the Alcudia bay, A42 to the east coast, A43 to Manacor and A51 to Campos. None reaches Cala d'Or. The 515e does run Cala d'Or to Palma, by way of Portopetro, S'Alqueria Blanca and Santanyi, but it terminates in the city rather than at the airport, so a bus journey from the aircraft means at least one change. Until 10 September 2026 this page left the question open, saying only that Campos was the nearest named route and still well inland. The answer is now on record: there is no direct coach, and we print no fare or timetable for a connecting journey because we have not verified one.

Going back: Cala d'Or to Palma Airport

  • The road

59 km, 55–70 min. Measured on the road, so unchanged either way.

  • The taxi

Same Ajuntament de Palma rates per kilometre. What we cannot carry over is the €4.65 airport supplement, which our figure records for a journey that starts at the terminal; nothing we hold says how it is treated on one that ends there. Without it: €73 by day, €83 at night and on Sundays. A floor, not an answer.

  • Still no coach

No usable connection either way. The return is the same choice as the outward journey: the regulated tariff, or a transfer booked ahead.

How we worked out the taxi fare

What the regulated fare is made of

A taxi from this airport does not run on a meter. The fare follows a schedule published by the Ajuntament de Palma, so it can be worked out in advance rather than quoted. These are the maximums that schedule allows over the measured distance, not a price anyone has offered you.

Frequently asked questions

How far is Cala d'Or from Palma Airport?

About 59 km. Two independent routing engines returned 59.05 and 59.06 kilometres, ten metres apart, which is as close as two engines get on this site.

How long does it take?

Between about 55 and 70 minutes free-flowing. The two engines that agree on the distance to ten metres disagree on the time by seventeen minutes, which is a difference of assumption about the minor roads across the Migjorn rather than about the route. Allow the longer figure if you are timing anything.

How much is a taxi from Palma Airport to Cala d'Or?

About 78 to 88 EUR for the vehicle, not per person, including the 4.65 EUR airport supplement. The whole width of that range is the fare band rather than the road, because the distance is not in dispute.

Is there a bus from Palma Airport to Cala d'Or?

Not one we can show you. The airport operator names four Aerotib intercity routes on the page we could read and the nearest, to Campos, is well inland of Cala d'Or. We do not print a connection we have not read in a source.

How do I get from Cala d'Or back to Palma Airport?

The same distance and the same roads, and the same advice about time. The per-kilometre rate is identical in both directions; whether the 4.65 EUR airport supplement applies to a journey ending at the terminal is not something the city's page settles.
