The airport named for the other town
Split Airport sits at Resnik, and Resnik is closer to Trogir than to Split. Passengers who book a hotel here often expect the long transfer that the airport's name implies and get a seven-minute drive instead. It is the shortest journey this site covers, and the only one where the fare is decided more by the hour you land than by the distance.
An island old town, and where a car actually stops
The historic core is on a small island between the mainland and Čiovo, reached by two short bridges, and it is closed to traffic. A driver stops at the edge and the rest is on foot over cobbles. If you are staying inside the walls it is worth knowing which bridge your street is nearest, because the island is only about five hundred metres across but the lanes do not run straight.
One supplier, and what that means for the price
Exactly one Viator product names Trogir for this journey. Its airport pickup point resolves to a location the provider labels Split Airport, and one of its seven drop-off points resolves to Trogir itself, a quarter of a kilometre from where this site puts the town. The other six are references the provider will not expand, so we cannot demonstrate that its "Trogir area" means only Trogir, and we say so rather than imply a precision we do not have.
Frequently asked questions
How far is Trogir from Split Airport?
5 km. Both routing engines returned 4.90 km, agreeing to within ten metres.
Why does the price change?
By vehicle size and by hour: 35 EUR for up to four in normal hours, 45 for up to eight, and five euros more on either for a night or early-morning arrival.
Can a transfer drop me in the old town?
No. The old town is on an islet closed to traffic, so a driver stops at one of the bridges.
