One airport, and it is not in the town

Rhodes has a single commercial airport and it is not beside the town it is named after. The runway is at Paradisi, sixteen kilometres south-west, which is why every arrival on this island involves a journey and why the operators price by where you are staying rather than by the hour.

The two roads differ by eleven minutes, not by distance

Our routing engines put the drive at 15.41 and 15.97 kilometres but at 19 and 31 minutes. That is the newer inland bypass against the old road through Ialysos and Kritika, which is slower and prettier and full of hotels.
