Pompeii is 29 km from Naples airport, under half an hour and nearly all motorway. It is the shortest airport transfer we cover in Italy, and the only one where a per-head price and a whole-car price come out within a euro of each other.

Where per-person and per-car meet
Every other transfer on this coast is a vehicle price that does not move with the head count. Pompeii has both shapes. The car is 109 EUR flat for up to eight. The per-head products run 55 EUR each for two, 40 for three, 32 for four and 28 for five, checked on 10 September 2026, giving totals of 110, 120, 128 and 140. At two travellers they are a euro apart. From three upward the car is cheaper and the gap only widens.
The one easy road on this coast
The A3 motorway runs almost the whole way and leaves at Pompei. Our two routing engines agree to within a kilometre and their free-flow times, twenty-eight and thirty-three minutes, are close to what a driver actually experiences. Nothing else in this cluster can be said to have that.
A stop rather than a stay
Many people come here between somewhere and somewhere else. A transfer that waits, or that carries on to Sorrento afterwards, is a different product from the one-way arrival this page covers, and the figures here do not apply to it.
