Airports for Corfu Town

Corfu Airport is not near Corfu Town so much as attached to it: the runway runs along a causeway across the lagoon on the town's southern edge, under three kilometres from the old quarter. Five to ten minutes, from 30 EUR.

An airport you can nearly walk from

Under three kilometres is the shortest airport-to-destination distance anywhere on this site, half the length of the next shortest. Aircraft come in low over the lagoon and the Venetian fortresses, which is why Corfu's approach turns up in photographs, and it is also why the transfer question here is genuinely open: with hand luggage in daylight this is a walk or a short bus ride, and with cases at midnight it is not.

Two fortresses and a grid of lanes

The old town sits between the Old and New Fortresses and most of it is stone lanes that vehicles do not enter. A driver stops at the edge nearest your street, so the address matters more than the district: the difference between the Spianada end and the far side of the old quarter is ten minutes on foot over polished flagstones.

What one operator's price list shows

Thirty euros for up to four, fifty for up to eight, seventy for up to fifteen.
