Nearer than the city it is beside

The airport is at Čilipi and Cavtat is the first town below it, on a small wooded peninsula between two bays. Five kilometres and seven or eight minutes, against twenty kilometres and half an hour into Dubrovnik. That proximity is most of the reason people fly into Dubrovnik and stay here: the same arrival, a quarter of the transfer.

A waterfront that stops being a road

The harbour front curves around the bay and its last stretch is given over to people, so a driver stops where the paving changes. The town is small enough - about two thousand people live here - that nothing is far from that point, but it is worth expecting rather than discovering with a case in each hand.

One product, four reviews

A single Viator product names Cavtat for this journey and it carries four reviews. Its four booking options are vehicle classes rather than places, and five drop-off points inside a village of two thousand is a village rather than a region, so the price is attributable. It is still one supplier's price, not a market rate, and we would rather say that than let a lone figure look like a consensus.
